Range & Wall Oven – Oven Will Not Come On
Check the oven controls to ensure they are set correctly for baking or broiling.
Make sure the knobs on the wall or range oven are correctly set to the desired temperature and function. If your model features electronic controls for the oven, ensure that you have selected the desired oven function and temperature and pressed the Start button. If you have control knobs on your model and they were removed to clean, ensure that the knobs are in the correct location and position.
Check Your Power Supply
Check the fuse or breakers box in the house to ensure that the breakers or fuses are working. Check that the range’s power cord is plugged into the wall socket. This could be because the power cord has been unplugged. To access the power plug on most free-standing and slide-in ranges, you must remove the storage drawer. Check the power cord only after disconnecting the range’s house circuit breaker or fuse.
Reset Control Electronic
Turn the circuit breaker off or remove the fusible. Wait one minute, then switch the circuit breaker on or install the fuses to re-energize the appliance. It should reset the controls on your Range or Wall Oven. Even if a light or clock is on the Range Oven or Wall Oven, you can still reset the electronic controls.
Check the door latch on self-cleaning ranges with a Latch
Check that the self-cleaning door latch is not locked. The self-cleaning door latch must be moved all the way left to unlock the door.
Check the Electric Bake Element
Remove the fuse or turn off your wall oven or range. Check the lower element of the bake element for any cracks or broken pieces. It will need to be replaced if it is cracked or damaged.
